It’s summer fete time with our Highgate friends on Saturday August 31st 11am to 4pm in New Hope Park!
There’ll be games, food and fun, all free organised by Birmingham Open Space Forum and all our local partners from Highgate Cultural Action Area!
This summer Friction have been working with Young People in Highgate exploring what it means to be young in Highgate. Young people will be curating our map of Highgate – a fabulous patchwork of stories from people in Highgate we’ve begun collating with them.
See our giant map, mapping the incredible work of our young residents as they share their unique perspectives on Highgate. Friction team will be there!
Enjoy our exciting activities – Legacy West Midlands will be keeping an eye on our blood pressure while you sow your seed for Patchwork meadows, make your den with Glue Collective, fun and games with St. Martin’s Youth Centre staff, FeedoNeedo will be providing drinks and toys, and The Active Wellbeing Society serving up free healthy wholesome nosh for you. What’s not to love?
Oh, and did we say, Natalie Mason will be performing live, bringing cool vibes and gentle melody to Highgate?
